We have patients coming in from different parts of the country to consult with Dr. K about his revolutionary, minimally invasive, virtually painless foot procedure that helps patients get back on their, compared to traditional surgeries which may take up to 3 months. You can schedule your appointment in our state of the art location in Woodland Hills. We have been receiving patients from across the country and around the world, especially from Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.
We recommend 3 things to ensure the best outcome after your bunion surgery.
FIRST, LEARN HOW TO WALK PROPERLY AFTER THE PROCEDURE:
Dr. K’s revolutionary bunion surgery method allows you to walk immediately after your bunion surgery without wearing a cast or using crutches. But you need to keep the weight off the front part of your foot, so Dr. K will teach you how to walk properly without affecting your healing and recovery.
SECOND, KNOW THAT THE PROCEDURE USES ANESTHESIA:
Dr. K may be required to use local, general, regional, or spinal anesthesia depending on the severity of the deformity, type of bunion surgery, and your medical history.
THIRD, MAKE PREPARATIONS TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM REST
If you’re coming from far, arrange your support system to ensure you get plenty of rest after the procedure. If possible, get your pain medication and antibiotics before the surgery.
Depending on your profession, you may be need to take a couple of weeks off to ensure proper recovery. You can resume office or sedentary jobs in a few days, but if your job involves walking/standing for extended periods, you should take 2-4 weeks off to recover properly. If you’re flying in from far, consider planning your surgery around work holidays and vacations.
