Bracymetatarsia/Short ToeBracymetatarsia/Short Toe

Brachymetatarsia (or short toe syndrome) is when one or more of the bones in the front of the foot is much shorter than the others. This foot condition may affect any of the five metatarsals, but it usually happens to the fourth. Surgical intervention can improve the foot's appearance and restore full mobility.

BunionBunion

Bunions typically result from an imbalance in the foot's structure, leading to the misalignment of the metatarsophalangeal joint. While non-surgical treatments like wearing orthotic devices, using padding, and applying ice packs can provide temporary relief, severe or persistent bunions may require surgical intervention.

Bunionettes are similar to bunions but occur at the base of the pinky toe. They have multiple causes, including poor fitting footwear, inherited foot shape or structure, trauma, and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis. Learn how they are diagnosed and how our minimally invasive bunionette surgery prevents even the most stubborn bunionettes from coming back.

ClubfootClubfoot

Clubfoot, also known as talipes equinovarus, is a congenital condition where one or both feet are twisted or turned inward. The foot may point downward and inward, with the heel turned upward. The affected foot may also be smaller and have less muscle development than the other foot. Children with clubfoot can be treated using the Ponseti Method.

Clubfoot is a congenital deformity that causes the affected feet to turn in at the ankle, making walking painful and difficult. Early intervention can help infants born with clubfoot lead healthy, active lives. At Khosrobadi Institute in Los Angeles, Dr. Alireza Khosroabadi, DPM, uses the renowned Ponseti Method to painlessly and effectively correct clubfoot in babies and children.

Hammer ToeHammer Toe

Hammer toes are a foot deformity characterized by an abnormal bending or curling of one or more toes. The name "hammer toe" comes from the toe's resemblance to a hammer or a claw, as the toe bends upward at the middle joint and downward at the joint closest to the foot. This can be quite painful, but surgical treatment can correct the issue and get you back on your feet.
