AMI-BUNION®

AMI-BUNION®

MINimally invasive bunion Surgery

You may have seen Dr. Alireza Khosroabadi (Dr. K) on TV shows like 'The Doctors'. This surgery involves making a very small 5-10mm incision in the toe to fix a bunion, which results in far less swelling and scar tissue than traditional bunion surgery. In fact, most of Dr. K’s patients can be back on their feet the next day, which is much sooner than traditional bunion surgery (up to 3 months).

AMI-BUNIONETTE™

AMI-BUNIONETTE™

MINimally invasive Bunionette surgery

Dr. K's trademark minimally invasive surgery is usually outpatient surgery, so you don’t have to stay overnight in a hospital. You should also have a quick recovery with minimal, if any, scarring, pain and swelling . Once you have had this surgery, the bunionette should not return, but you should still wear shoes with a wide toe box for the health of your feet.

AMI-HAMMERTOE™

AMI-HAMMERTOE™

MINimally invasive Hammetoe Correction

If left untreated over a long period of time, flexible toe joints can stiffen and become rigid toe joints stuck in the curled position. For rigid toe joints, Dr. K uses minimally invasive surgery to remove small pieces of bone to help straighten the toes. Hammer toe surgery is an out-patient procedure and only needs a minimal healing time.

brachymetatarsia (SHORT TOE) Correction

Short Toe / Brachymetatarsia Surgery

Brachymetatarsia is when one of the five toe bones stops growing too soon. When that bone is too short, so is the toe. This condition usually happens in both feet, and mostly on the fourth toe, even though it can affect other bones/toes. Dr. K is one of the most experienced surgeons in lengthening toes.

CLUBFOOT Treatment

Non-Surgical Clubfoot Treatment

Dr. K has been specially trained in the Ponseti Method, which has shown more success in correcting clubfoot than major surgery.

Dr. K is one of the few surgeons who trained under Dr. Ponseti, who passed away in 2009.

The Ponseti Method is becoming the standard treatment in the U.S. and around the world.
